Just A Nice Guy

This Is Just To Say

It was a wonderful couple of days away. Though we had a fight all the way, a bit of drama at Orchard Road, I believe that both of us learned our lesson and countless memories made.
Despite the long travel to get there and back, I'd do it again in a heartbeat. And right now it's time to go back to the real world - well, my real world. But I guess that's okay. This trip is exactly what I needed at exactly the time I needed it and for that, I'm thankful.

On Our Trip 3

Brunch at Coffee Bean

I forced myself to wake up that morning though I was still tired because of the competition. *Don't get me wrong, I didn't participate but I was there the whole day*
We walked again and again to the MRT station and this time heading to USS ! :)) First, we stop for brunch at the shopping mall.

Universal Studio !

One word : It's worth it ! You just have to pay $72 for the ticket and spent the whole day in USS ! There's a loadddds of things waiting for you. I guess I'm doing unofficial ads for USS.
I felt like I was in my imaginary land, everything. The Holllywood Street, Madagascar, The Lost World, Egypt.... The roller coaster? Try it until your heart stop beating. I was screaming aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa all the way and he was like 'no face expression'?? What? But at least I did it though I'm scared of heights actually.

We head ourselves to The Inn Crowd Backpackers.
Surprising, it was awesome ! They had own kitchen, candies machine, magazines, beans bags, sofa, radio and everything. A place like home. I know, it is hard for you guys to imagine the place, so here's a pictures to summed it up.

Living room

Dining table

Dorm

8.30 pm
Again, we walked 1km to Little India MRT station heading to Marina station. I was freaking excited ! Nightlife in Singapore ! woooohoo ! We bought ourselves a boat cruise tickets along the river for 30 minutes.
The moment I was at the bridge, I was amazed. This is gooood ! They have a lot of restaurants, open bar and stalls.Good food. hehe. We took the cruise first and it was worth it paid $10 for that !

Excited faces I guess
We went to front to get better view.

The RockMaster Competition

5.30 am
Everything was dark, empty and dull in Lavender Terminal Bus. We walked down about 1km away to the nearest MRT station and danggg ! Straight away go to Dover station?? The Singapore Polytechnic.

6.30 am - 3.00 pm
Yes, the whole day we were there, at the competition waiting for his turn. I was so tireeeeed, sticky, sleepy. But not even a single a complaint from me. Anyway, I was quite surprised with the polytechnic, it was HUGE! They even had a McDonald, Burger King ! Wow, I am so in love with the food ! :)
The best part, the whole area equipped with wifi ! So, I played with his Ipad, googling maps, places to go later and facebooking plus twittering. *Can't get rid of that actually. *

3.00 pm - 6.00 pm
Finally, his turn. I never had a chance to see he climb at Camp5. So, I was a bit excited to see he climb those wall. It may look easy, but it was actually kinda hard. I didn't know that sometimes you have to depend on two finger and hang yourself. Hmm, imagine if I climb?? *Ohmy, I don't think that I'll able to move at all! *

Anyway,  back to the competition. I saw he was a bit nervous since there were a lot of talented and experienced climbers. He completed 4 of 6 route during the competition, and I am so proud of him ! It was his first competition, and I am glad I was there supporting him.

Just for you:
"All your life you are told the things you cannot do. All your life they will say you're not good enough or strong enough or talented enough; they will say you're the wrong height or the wrong weight or the wrong type to play this or be this or achieve this. THEY WILL TELL YOU NO, a thousand times no, until all the no's become meaningless. All your life they will tell you no, quite firmly and very quickly. AND YOU WILL TELL THEM YES."

Waiting for his turn 3.30pm

Thinking on completing the route
First route completed !
Second route completed !

The Planning

Stage 1: The Invitation.
A: Have u decided to go to Singapore with me?
B: Oh I would love to! :)

Stage 2: Place to Stay.
We had decided to go for a backpacking, I am serious, BACKPACKING !! All my life, I always had 'diva holiday' but for this trip, I'm not going to stay in hotel.
p/s: Oh nooo ! My make-up, my clothes, shoes, everything need to be minimize ! :(

Stage 3: The Preparation.
Since it was a last minute plan, literally last minute. We decided a week earlier, everything need to be done soon. Passport check ! Bus ticket check ! Accommodation check ! Maps of Singapore check !
Only left, ass-ignment. I had assignment due on friday and I was working my ass out doing my report the day before until few hours before we left. Pheeeuw, I did it !

Crushed

[Received text] 'Lets meet up soon!'
[Replied] 'Okay!'

My reaction: Ohmygod, I was so excited ! Jumping around like a small little girl who just made a promise that she's going to Disneyland soon, smiled the whole day even when she's sleeping, hoping the day to come.

Preparation: Exam on the next day? Oooopss ! I need plan ! Woke up early in the morning, went jog around Central Park for an hours. Grab myself a cup of tea ; Vanilla Mint blend, find a perfect spot, take a deep breath, and earplug with Norah Jones. Bring it on ! Slowly open my Biopsychology textbook. Believe it, I spent the whole week at Starbucks revising.
A week later... on the day itself...

[Received text] 'I'm sorry, I can't make it.'
[Replied] 'Its okay.'

I was like.... crushed.

Chinese New Year Treat

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

It has been more than 2 weeks since my first post, 24th January 2011. Whoops, sorry, there is a lot of things going on and need to be catch up, I'm going to get busy soon with my assignments, thank you Miss Winnie, you assigned us with two research this semester! *sigh* However, as any other student outside there, I had ONE week of holiday. Yahoo for me!! I went back home, spend time with family, cousins, and friends! Summary of my CNY holiday:

Everything will always tastes way better with a good company!

1. Shiva's 21st Birthday Party: 29th January 2011
Oh my, I blamed google map that night! Seriously, me and Imtiaaz were late for the party, lost for almost one hour. And hungry too! Once we reached, straight away went to the kitchen, grab some delicious calories for ourselves. Thank you for the food, Shiva! Its delicious! I'm glad meeting up with new peeps there; Farid, Fatin, and Edris. You guys are awesome! We had a great conversation. That moment, I realize that I miss GKP's so much though Imtiaaz and Shiva were there.
p/s: It won't be the same without you guys! And thank you Imtiaaz for the ride. ;)

From left: Farid, Fatin, Imtiaaz, me, and Edris

2. Runaway  Train: 30th January 2011
I had  train to catch at 11 am, so I tried so hard to woke up after the party* I blamed Shiva for that* . Took bus from Damansara at 10am, assuming that there won't be any traffic on Sunday. Damn, I hate the driver! He took his own sweet time, stop by roadside, bought nasi lemak for himself, drove like 70 y/o man, and time is tick tock-ing man!
I reached Central at 11am sharp, ran like a runaway bride, seriously! I miss my train! ;(

3. Seven Dwarf Made It @ Bukit Kledang: 2nd & 3rd February 2011
One word: Tired! I went two days in a row; crazy huh? Yes, indeed.
On the first day, I took the stairs all the way up with Sharifah. Its looks like triple of Batu Caves! I was totally flat that evening, and injured myself.
Since, I made a promise with my cousins; Azrin, Amrin, and Adah, I went up again the day after.
That day, we took different route. After few minutes of walking, I can't move my leg at all. *Drag me down, pleeeease!* Luckily, I had my trainer; Sharifah helped me out. hehe. Conclusion; we made it! ;D

Hehe thank you so much Sharifah! I felt better after that.
The Seven Dwarf including me.

View from Bukit Kledang

4. Meeting up with Diva's - 2nd February 2011
It's a must for me - meeting up with the Diva's during holiday although its only me, Umar, Aie, and Lyana left in Ipoh. ;(  Adzam stayed at USM, Imtiaaz were in KL, Azim (over-reacted Diva) who refused to hangout with us with sooooo many excuses though he's in Ipoh that time. Anyway, Lyana picked us up since my car still in the workshop, went for dinner and mini photoshoot at Polo. Sorry, I left the pictures back in Ipoh. sob, sob, sob. Oh ya, hightlight of the outing: I RESIGNED! as a 'monitor' and driver (maybe). After this, you peeps won't receive any messages from me 'hey, are guys free? What's the plan? How about if we.... bla..bla..bla..'
We're going to have election soon GKP's! Don't forget to vote! ;)

5. Surprise, Surprise, Surprise: 4th February 2011
Unbelievable! I met with my long lost friend at Qistina's kenduri! What a small world, I was quite surprised and a bit overwhelmed, he still remembered me! hahah thanks Meor!

From left: me, Qis, Ema, Fara, and Anur
Our bodyguard : Kamil and Meor

6. Up to North ! : 4th and 5th February 2011
In Malaysia, whenever there is holiday, there must be a wedding. Agree?
We went up to north: my family, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Nasi minyak, here I come! * nasi minyak is a traditional food that are served during wedding ceremony*. All of us crammed in a homestay, imagine 3 family under one roof. Its hectic! Screaming here and there, my grandpa can have a heart attack for that. Yet, I believe that will be the best part of all, crammed like a sardine with families. ;)

Highlight of the trip:
i) My grandma is a shopaholic, she spent hoooouuuuurs at Pekan Rabu!
ii)On our way back on Saturday, 4.30pm, we were stuck in a massive jam for almost 7 hours! It was supposed to be 2 1/2 hours of journey. Malaysia oh Malaysia.
iii) Reached Ipoh around 11pm and flat for the whole night though I'm not the driver.

It was a wonderful couple of days away. Despite the long travel to get there and back, I'd do it again in a heartbeat. Like I said, Everything will always tastes way better with a good company! And right now it's time to go back to the real world - well, my real world.

About

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh

Hmmm how should I start here? What I am going to write here? Completely confused about whether my story is ending or just beginning. Let's settle for somewhere in between.

I am an undergraduate college student,  living in Damansara with my lovely housemates, and had a wonderful family; my dad, my mum, and my little brother. Hmmm he can't be consider as little brother since he's 20 y/o this year. Yet, he's still my little brother! ;)

I've just started this blog few days ago, when I had an inspiration from someone. Alhamdulillah, thank you so much!  *lets just keep it as a secret first*.  So, here I am. Fashion, food, family, campus life. General nonsense.

These days, since becoming a little girl wearing hijab, and I am still new in wearing hijab. I will start sharing tips, experiences and many other things that will be beneficial to all hijab wearing girls and also for those who are currently in the process of learning to wear it.

  Insya'Allah.
